Some of our favorite kiddos
Saturday was a day spent with some of our favorite kiddos...
Than we were off to the Springs for a BBQ at Nik and Mike's where we got to hang out with Kolt, who is one of the happiest babes I've ever met: We ended the weekend with a family dinner that is always a sight to behold.

A great night to remember
The night started off normal enough- dinner with Nik, Mike and nephews, than we headed out to the Rockies game. We sat in the Rockpile, which means all of your fellow fans are is drunk and obnoxious 20 year olds. I claimed I would never sit in the Rockpile again...I don't care how cheap those tickets are.
As the game came to a close, the Rockpile fans were invited to the field to watch the firework show. As we walked underneath the stadium and onto the field, I knew the $10 for the tickets were worth every penny... it was money well spent just to see how excited Brian was. He explained to the Jack we were walking on the "Warning Track", something I had never heard of. I didn't think it was that big of deal until I saw many grown men lean down to touch the red dirt.

We were lead onto the field, where the everyone was given free roam- we picked our spots in left field and laid out our blankets. Soon, the lights were off and the fireworks began. It was an amazing sight. Half way through the show, Jackey boy crawled between Brian and I and as me if he could snuggle with me...how I love that little boy!
The night ended with Coop hitching a ride on Uncle Brian's shoulders
These are the kinds of nights that I am so glad Nik and Mike decided to move their family back to Colorado.

Thanks Hot Hot Dierks Bentley & Brad
Last night was the Brad Paisley concert-it was a great show!
We met up with my sister and brother-n-law at their hotel to tailgate. We were all shocked to hear that it was Kari's first tailgating experience. She laughed at all the people who had grills ( we had our white trash KFC), and said "It's just like camping!"
We headed into the show, which opened up with Dierks Bentley...who I like to call Hot Hot Dierks Bentley. The husbands had a bit too much fun, in fact, the Munger girls had to take the reigns of the night...which, if anyone knows us, we rarely ever do that. I think this picture explains a lot..note to the masses, if you want to smuggle in alcohol so you don't get ripped off by the $11 beers, wear cowboy boots:

Fertility Plan #2
Admist the anger and sadness that seems to loom, we have a new Fertility Plan #2.
We had another appt today, from which we walked away with no real conclusions for our miscarriage. All of the tests they did on me last month turned out to be normal- which I guess is a good thing, but also leaves us with no reason for what happened.
What we walked away with today is what our doctor is calling our new "strategy". It requires two months of BCP, after which we will proceed with the FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer). He will add in Z-Paks and a protocol of Prednasone after the transfer just incase there is any sort of auto immune issue hiding out in me that they can't find.
I was also upset to hear I have to repeat a painful procedure in late October.
The "hurry up and wait" part of our lives is back...But it will all be worth it in the end if have our own Baby Dew.

Mr. Paisley
I will be seeing you Friday night. I am already increasing my water intake to counteract the beer I know I will be consuming.
Please play " I thought I loved you than".
Thank you

Emma and "Her Hair"
Auntie Lindsay holding Emma for the first time
Yes, Emma's hair gets it's own post.
I was THRILLED when Jeff, aka Daddy, invited me to the ICU to meet Emma. I was even more thrilled when the nurse asked if we wanted to hold her. And than, even more thrilled than that when she said we could take pictures! I felt it very necessary to document the perfect mohawk.
Someone asked me if visiting the hospital and holding Emma was upsetting to me. And it certainly was not! It made me more hopeful that our time too will come.

Emma Grace
Emma Grace Wennberg made her entrance into the world last night. It sounds like it wasn't exactly the stress free birthing experience they were looking for, but she is here.
Unfortunately both Heather and Baby have a fever and some sort of virus, so both aren't feeling too hot right now. Emma is in the ICU for now, so we are praying for a healthy baby soon.
Emma weighed in a 9lbs, 10z..so par for the course for her super tall parents!
We can't wait to meet her!

What exactly is Parkinsons Disease?
I get that question a lot. I hate that I am supposed to know the answer. I hate that my Dad was diagnosed with it 5 years ago.
What is Parkinson's disease?
Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder. It occurs when certain nerve cells (neurons) in a part of the brain called the substantia nigra die or become impaired. Normally, these cells produce a vital chemical known as dopamine. Dopamine allows smooth, coordinated function of the body's muscles and movement. When approximately 80% of the dopamine-producing cells are damaged, the symptoms of Parkinson's disease appear
The last year has been a rough one for my Dad as he fights off the affects of this disease. He does not have tremors, but suffers from a shuffled walk, muffled speech and difficulty with his balance.
Watching him go through this has made me spend a lot of time on this website:
http://www.parkinson.org/Page.aspx?pid=201
so I can learn more about what causes it, why it happens and what can we do to help.
Their slogan is "Fighting back, Moving Forward"...which I think is quite appropriate.
There is no cure, but I pray research will find one soon.
If you are looking for a cause to support, please visit their website.

It's about time, body o' mine
7 weeks later my body finally realizesI am no longer pregnant. Yes, 7 weeks...who knew it would take so long?
I've gone back week after week for HCG quants, only to learn that the numbers were sky high. They've slowly been creeping down, but certainly not the pace I wished for. Going back for blood draws doesn't help the "moving on" phase of life.
Less than 5 is considered "not pregnant"...I am at 4.8...the nurse declared me free from this pregnancy.
Iam working really hard on declaring that for myself.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Jude
I met my friends Summer and Ange about 10 years ago when we were all dating friends. There was as lot of drama with us and those boys- but we all eventually got smart enough to figure out the boys were no good so we left them and kept one another.
We've all been lucky enough to have since found "the one", and no one was more shocked than me when Ange told me she was pregnant, after years of thinking it was an impossibility!
Today I met the new love of her life, Jude Jaxson Nevico-Snider. A whopping 8lbs, 5oz. beautiful little boy.
Congrats Ange and John! I am so, so happy for you!

Exciting day in Babyland
Sept 8th is going to be a big day in the Babyland in which many of my friends live!
Congrats to Heidi & Barry in finding out Baby #3 is a BOY!
And many, many congrats to Ange who is in labor as we speak, expecting Baby Jude today (at least we hope today!)
And lastly, I would love to add Heather, Jeff and Baby Emma to this list, but I can't! Emma is still holding out on us...just spinning her wheels, hanging out, driving poor Mommy and Dadddy crazy with anticipation!

Rob & Kristie Landry
Off To Estes Park we went to celebrate the wedding of Dr Rob and Kristie. We went with the Condons for a quick night get away, and really had a great time.
Kristie was a gorgeous bride:
Than we all cut a rug:

We posed for some picutres in the beautiful scenery:
Than we all cut a rug:
Than, out of nowhere, came this dance move from Brian which brought the house down! I asked him if these were his "prom moves", which he confirmed and than informed were the reasons he got all the "ladies" in highschool!

Dear Friend,
I have a new friend, we met a little over a year ago. She has been so good to me during our IVF process- asking questions, offering support, genuinely concerned, and listening to my fears and doubts. When we lost the babies, her eyes filled with tears. She brought flowers. She sent texts to make sure I was ok. She was a great friend.
Yesterday, this friend shared with me that she is pregnant- an unexpected surprise. When she came to tell me, she was nervous. When she told me, I burst into tears. I was shocked at my reaction, and spent the rest of the day horrified that I had done so.
Who does that?
I am really happy for her...I am really, truly am. She is luckier than she could ever imagine.
I can't wait for the day when someones joy doesn't remind me of our loss.
So, Friend, who I know reads this blog, I really am sorry! But, being the good friend you are, I know you will tell me it's OK.
I owe you a baby shower!
