130 Days til the wedding

130 days to the wedding...not that I am counting! This weekend was our official
"wedding planning weekend". We met the rents up in the mountains, met with the florist, caterer and picked out tuxes. My dad refused to let get chair covers, which I didn't fight since they are being kind enough to use their hard earned money to finally send their 33 year old daughter into the married world. Though, I think it does beg the question why they didn't have more money saved since it took me so long to find the perfect guy :)

Today, Brian got his wedding ring- which looks fabulous on him! My rings are done too. We paid off the honeymoon today, so Hawaii here we come!

August cannot come soon enough!!!!

Jack and the wedding

So a few months ago, my mom asked me to come down to Colorado Springs to go to a Bridal show with her. When I arrived, I saw four little hands frantically waving at me from the backseat- while I am typically thrilled to see my nephews, the idea of taking the boys with us to a Bridal show did not sound like much fun to me!

We were in the show a total of 3 minutes before the " I have to go to the bathroom" and " I am thirsty" bits started. Our solution to entertain them was to allow them to eat candy from every vendor we visited.

Needless to say, Jack began to not feel very well. He later told his dad, "I went to Auntie B's wedding and they stuffed my face with candy!".

Well, this weekend Nikki told the boys they had to run to the mall to pick up their wedding outfits. She said it was no sooner out of her mouth when Jack pitched a fit only comparable to a 2 year old, yelling at her "Didn't I already tell you??? I ALREADY went to Auntie B's wedding and they made me eat too much chocolate. I DO NOT WANT TO GO AGAIN!"

So needless to say, Jack is a bit confused and apparently wants no part of the wedding. Cooper on the other hand, told me he wants to wear his " chic magnet" shirt to the wedding....boys!

A 6 year old's questions...

Yesterday Jack and I were watching TV and out of no where he asked, "What is your last name, Auntie B?", and I answered. Than he asked what Uncle Brian's last name is. He thought a minute, than asked "If you dont have the same last name, than how can you live together?" Silence than quickly followed as Brian acted like he heard nothing and continued typing on his computer, and I just laughed. Jack quickly than followed up that puzzeling questions with another, "Why do I call Brian, Uncle Brian, if you arent married yet?"

My answer to all of this was "Jackey Boy, your mommy will be home tomorrow and she will tell you!"

The Boys and Zach

Jack and Cooper are with us for the weekend, and their favorite pasttime is spending time with the dogs. They both love that "Zachey Poo", as Coop loves to call him, will snuggle anywhere, anytime!

Saying Goodbye

We said goodbye to our sweet Dutchie Dew on Wednesday night ( 3-6-08). Even though she had been the vet not even a week earlier, Bri and I both just had a gut feeling something was not right. When Rand came to the house, she listened to Dutchie's heart and it was racing at 180 bpm. She agreed that Dutchie's condition had worsened.

Surrounded by love, Dutchie peacefully left us. It was heartwrenching, and Brian shocked us all by how emotional be became while saying goodbye. It was the right thing to do for Dutchie, and I think letting her leave with dignity is the greatest act of love!

Happy Birthday to Cooper

Our darling nephew, Cooper, celebrated his 4th birthday today! Nik and Mike hosted his party for family and friends at their athletic club with a huge bouncy machine, climbing room and pizza. The kids had so much fun!
Cooper covered his ears as everyone sang "Happy Birthday", it was too funny

I can't even remember life or our family before Jackey Boy and Coop became a part of it, and it means the world to me that they moved back here to Colorado Springs!

I am the world's luckiest Auntie!

Fat Head is 4.5 Months Old (3-1-08)

Deacon weighed in at 88lbs today! He also has had his first trip to the dog park, which he loved. He slowed down the whole group with his lazy walk, but had lots of funs with the Condon pups!
