7 Months

Are there any words to describe my love for this boy? Yes, but not enough of them. Miller is 7 months old now and is pure joy. He is the calm while his sister is the storm. He is easy going, has a huge grin, and laughs all the time. His smile lights up the room- it is what every one comments on. I had a friend over recently and she said "He has the sweetest soul." I hope that trait remains always. 

He sat up at 6 months and started truly crawling for the first time on Saturday October 18th. 

He loves to cuddle and pull hair. He adores his Daddy.  He loves Jackey Boy & Coop and recognizes them with huge grins when they walk in the room. My heart melts every time I see them pick him up or give him a quick peck on the head as they walk out the door with their friends. 

He does great at daycare and is to tired every night he can barely make it past 7:30pm. Everyone at school stops me to tell me how happy he is and how much they enjoy going into the baby room to play with him. 

He is my sweet Boo-Boo. 

Bleeding Black and Gold

AXO Reunion. There are no words for the laughs that went on that weekend- like tears rolling down your face,  cross your legs so you don't pee.  Amazing. It's been almost 20 years and we picked up right where we left off.  I hope my babies make friends like this!

My Now.

I look at these pictures and shake my head. I can't believe this is all mine.

There are no words what this family picture represents to me.  The years of wondering if we would ever be parents, the losses, the stress it put on us individually and as a couple....I've said it before and I will say it again, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

But that was than, and this is now.

They are my now.

My now is pretty damn miraculous & awesome.

Syd: I want to wear jeans

Me: Are you sure? They are not as comfortable as shorts and you have never liked wearing them before

Syd: Maaamaaa, I want the jeans

So I put them on her, and which is followed with

Syd: Why did you put these on me? I can't sit down! I don't like them.

Welcome to my life with a 2.5 year old Diva.

Sunday Night Dinner

We keep finding ourselves with Auntie Nik, Jackey Boy & Coopey on Sunday evenings. Syd adores her cousins if you can't tell by the mauling going on in this picture.

I absolutely love that she (and Miller) are growing up right around the corner from their cousins. Last night I saw Jack walk over to Miller and get down on his knees to lean in to talk to him and give him a big smile- melts my heart!

It just continues to reinforce the good decisions we have made about moving down here!

5 Months of Miller

This son of ours...amazing.

First, he is the sweetest little guy ever. All you have to do is make eye contact and he grins from ear to ear. He rarely cries, he just hangs out and smiles! All I ever say is " You are so sweet"...I hope he stays this way forever and ever.

He rolls over, in fact he rolls all over the place. He screeches and screams at the top of his lungs as his way of talking...no quiet cooing from this kid. He is busy and "twitches" all over the place when you hold him, so much in fact, Daddy calls him "Twitch".

He grins every time he sees his big Sissy and puts up with hugs, kisses and the occasional rough smothering of his entire body.

He loves his Daddy somethin' fierce and reserves some pretty big grins for him.

I didn't know this little guy was part of our plan, but now I can't imagine my life without him.

6 Years

6 years ago on August 9th we started our married life together.  We have fought really hard to get where we are today and I am so happy with the life we have built.  

We celebrated with a fun dinner out at The Rabbit Hole in Colorado Springs. Beautiful night, some yummy cocktails and a delicious dinner.

I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us.
