My loves

How did I get so lucky to call these two mine? They melt my heart. I can't tell you how many times I've just stared at these picture. Love.

Good Decisions

Moving to Colorado Springs was an adjustment and a bit intimidating. New house, new school, new environment...all things new.

But, I have to say, we absolutely made the right decision and its affirmed almost every day.

Living in a friendly neighborhood with neighbors that show up and offer up a helmet and scooter for my girl

A text to Grandma to invite her to Concert in the Park...and she only has to drive 8 miles to get to us!

Now, if we can just get the Cecchini's to move down here, it will all be perfect!

Miller- 3 Months

Our boy is 3 months old and it's about time I documented some things about him.

First of all, he is darling. Huge grin that he easily gives away. He is starting to giggle if you tickle him just right! He is so calm and typically only cries if he is hungry or has a wet diaper. I  honestly can't think of a time he has cried for more than a few minutes as I took too long to feed him ( in his opinion). Somehow, I got lucky with another easy baby.

He is trying to roll and has gotten over a few times from his back to his belly.  He has a ton of hair and fat rolls- could be be cuter? Everyone at his school comments how big he is everyday I pick him up and how much they love my chilled back babe.

Check out these legs!

He sleeps through the night 3-4 nights per week so while it is wonderful, the other nights are such a let down when I hear that pitiful cry at 1am.  But he eats quickly and back to sleep pretty quickly.

I still can't believe we have a son. I still can't believe we have a second child. It is so amazing.

Movin' on Up

We've been in our new house for 2 weeks and at least once a day I look around and think to myself " I love this house!".  Short of winning Powerball and having an unlimited budget, this house really has absolutely everything we could ever want! Brian and I keep saying " Can you believe this is ours??"

We've been furniture shopping and furniture shopping trying to fill this house.  We are 99% done and looking forward to a house warming party at the end of July.

It has been so great to be so close to family...last minute dinners, quick walk to Nik's, Grandma stopping by just to say him, Concert in the Park, trying out the new rec center.  Every time it happens is solidifies that we made the right decision.

I feel really blessed!

Our Babies!

My sister got these adorable "Month" stickers for Syd and I still love to look back at the pictures from the first 12 months of her life. When it came time for a baby shower for Miller, I politely requested she get them for me again.

I cannot get over how beautiful our babies are, nor can I get over how much they look alike!

Relaxing Maternity Leave- NOT!

How I envisioned my maternity leave....long lazy days in bed, snuggling that little boy of mine.

Reality...lunch with Kelly, an old sorority sister and realtor. As we wrapped up lunch Kelly mentioned how hot the Denver market is, suggested she look at comps for our house and to our shock and surprise, we learned we could get top dollar.  Within 2 hours of lunch I had called Brian, shared this excellent news, and we called Kelly to tell her to list the house.

That was in mid April. We listed at the end of April and had multiple offers the first weekend.

We certainly did not expect this all to happen so fast so this Maternity Leave has been filled with finding a new house, packing, organizing and trying not to poke my eyeballs out from stress.

We also made a HUGE decision to move to Colorado Springs. The obvious reason is being close to family, but when we realized the money we would save in daycare coupled with the much larger house we could get for our money, it was a no brainer.

Brian and I are still in shock this dream is coming true. We hate being in this small house but thought we had a few more years here until we had the down payment we needed. But this hot Denver market changed all of that!

We found a new house but refuse to jinx myself by showing anyone it on a blog or Facebook (my main source of information!)

We move out June 5th, close on both properties on June 6th and move into the new home June 7th.

Fingers crossed every loan does what it is supposed to do or our master plan will blow up and I may actually poke my eye out!

And lastly, I do spend a lot of time cuddling this boy who is as precious as they come!

Miller Thomas Dew

Our sweet son is here!

We had a scheduled c section on Monday March 17th.

We checked in at 5am and he was born at 8:02am.  This is my favorite picture...the moment where Mama meets Son- the love, the pride, the relief....there are no words.
Miller weighed in at a hefty 8lbs, 12 oz which shocked us all since his big Sissy was only 7 lbs, 2 oz. Speaking of SJ, he looks just like her. It took my breath away.

Miller's first name came from a night of watching tv and stopping on a AFA Football game. One of the AFA players, "Miller", did something where they announced his name and I immediately asked Bri if he liked it. It is a bit unusual so we held on to it for a few months but kept going back to it.  His middle name of "Thomas" honors Brian's father who passed away when Brian was 18 months old.

SJ loves "Milner Thomas" she calls him. Lots of love, kisses and hugs. Here is a picture of her meeting him for the first time.
Our first family portrait. My heart can barely take it.

We are so blessed.
