My Jackey Boy is 7

Jackey Boy turned 7 years old on May 28th, and we celebrated his birthday with a pool party today!

I could not stop staring at him, wondering where the last 7 years have gone?? Or maybe I was trying to remember life before him...which I can hardly do! I remember holding him for the first time in the airport when I arrived in NC to meet him, and instantly knowing that my life had been changed forever. Who knew you could love something so little, so much?

When I hugged him hello today I told him I couldn't believe he was the same little boy that I used to change diapers on- he smiled at me coyly, than told me to be quiet and was off with his friends! I remember the days when I was the center of his world when I entered a room! I can only imagine how Nik and Mike feel to watch their baby grow into an independent boy!

I am so happy to watch Jack grow into the person he is becoming! He is precocious, hilarious, handsome, smart & stubborn... he and Coopey make my heart proud!

CT Wedding Shower

Brian and I just got in this evening from a whirlwind trip to CT for a wedding shower hosted by his parents (Steve & Esther) and his sister and bro-n-law (Becky & Mike).

We had a great time. My mom and Aunt Denise came out as well, and the Dews put us up at the Riverton Inn, which is a charming old inn. They treated us to a wonderful dinner at Sweet Pea's, and were beyond generous with all the fun treats they had in store for us.

Becky & Mike hosted the picnic at their home, and I loved that my mom and aunt got to meet and spend time with the people that know Brian the best.

Blue Update

Blue Blue, as he is now known, has finally decided it is ok to be a Munger/Dew! He has become very attached, and I am quite sure my nightly drives with him around the neighborhood has bought his love.

He is a very gentle boy, and oddly enough is starting to become quite protective of our home and the other dogs. There is to be no rough housing around this old man.

90 days and counting

90 days and counting until we are Mr. and Mrs. Brian Dew! Oh my god! I guess it is real. We had our engagment photos done this weekend, I will post as soon as I get them!

We are so ready to get this show on the road!!!! Who's idea was it to wait until August ( hmmmm, Mom?????)

Weight of the world has been lifted...

I have new job- and it is not sales!! I had enough...enough crap, enough stress, enough tears, and enough unhappiness!

Bri was incredibly supportive, and let me take a significant pay cut without blinking an eye (at least he didn't panic publicly!)

I am working for The Hartford as a NACC- National Accounts Consultant Care. While I am still involved in the sales process, I am no longer the #1! Admittingly, this goes against who I am, but I am so ready to be a passenger for a while!

This was the first week where I did not worry about my funnel or sales goals! What a great start to the weekend!
